The Bambouseraie in the Cevennes was born from the will of one man: Eugene Mazel! Passionate of horticulture and natural sciences, it begins its first plantations on the current site of the Bambouseraie in Cevennes in 1856, acclimatizin exotic species from China, the Japan, North America and the Himalayas ...
The sustainability of the collections and the gigantism of the centenary trees create an extraordinaty landscape.
The planting policy of the Bambouseraie takes into account the ornamental interest, the ratiry of the species, the short and long term renewal, a necessary diversification and the need for water.
All our cultivation methods are in line with the development and protection of biodiversity. Bamboo is managed in integrated biological protection (zero phyto).
